Making Murals
Art Teachers & Students from the National Art Education Association Minneapolis Convention
An installation of two murals created during the 2024 National Art Education Association is on display for the summer. Panels for these murals were created in April during collaborative artmaking workshops specifically designed for art educators and National Art Honor Society students attending the national convention in Minneapolis, MN.
Participants worked with renowned mural artist and Davis author Alice Mizrachi to create two murals that reflect the unique essence of the city.
We wanted participants to experience the city. When you go to a conference you don’t really get to see the location. Our thought was, maybe if attendees dive into an art activity about the city they could learn about the location.
