The Davis Art Gallery opened in 2006 and is operated by Davis Publications, the leader in art education since 1901. The mission of the gallery is to advocate for the arts in our vibrant Worcester community and to provide a venue for showcasing artists’ work in downtown Worcester. The gallery also supports community arts projects and fundraising for community organizations through the arts.
The Davis Art Gallery at the Printers Building is located at 44 Portland Street, 3rd floor in Worcester, MA 01608.
Street parking is available on Portland Street or use the McGrath Municipal Lot on the corner of Salem and Myrtle Streets. Cars may be towed from private lots in the area.
The Davis Art Gallery is temporarily closed. However, ArtsWorcester is using the Davis Art Gallery space for some of its exhibitions. Please visit the ArtsWorcester website for information about these exhibitions. The galleries are free and open to all, Thursday through Sunday, 12:00–5:00 PM.
Erika Davis Wade is a mixed-media, fiber, and landscape artist. Over the past decade, she has co-curated a variety of shows at Davis Art Gallery. As a fourth generation Davis family member, she is particularly proud of Davis Art Gallery’s contribution to the local art community.
Karl Cole is an art historian and teacher who has spent more than 25 years working directly with world-class art museums. He’s also a practicing studio artist who specializes in landscapes and still lifes in oil, featuring vivid colors and expressive shapes. Karl is committed to sharing the art of contemporary local and regional artists with the public.
Lydia Keene-Kendrick has been involved with the gallery since 2009. She works with the co-curators to plan, coordinate, and promote exhibitions featuring art from the Worcester community and beyond. In addition to her work with the gallery, Lydia is a project editor at Davis Publications and a Worcester Art Museum Corporator.
